Job Description
As a Demolition Labourer, you will play a key role in the early stages of refurbishment and renovation projects, assisting with the safe removal of existing structures and materials. The role involves strip-out works, soft demolition, waste handling, and site preparation to ensure areas are ready for the next phase of construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out soft strip-out and demolition works, including removal of fixtures, fittings, partitions, flooring, and tiles
- Loading, removing, and sorting waste materials for disposal or recycling
- Assisting with site clearance and preparation for follow-on trades
- Using hand tools and basic equipment safely and correctly
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in demolition, strip-out, or refurbishment works preferred
- Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual tasks
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and safe working practices
- Ability to work efficiently to tight project timescales
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid CSCS card
- Relevant experience in demolition or labouring roles
Rates & Working Hours
Rates will be discussed following application and are based on experience and quality of work. All roles are full-time, based across the West Midlands, working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with overtime available when required.
Additional Requirements
All workers must hold the appropriate CSCS card, along with Working at Height, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, and Face Fit certification where applicable (Face Fit testing can be provided if required).
